mrs v. viper wrote: EDIT so in short: I think what Id do is aks aroun on those pages who wants to do an actual streetteam and set one up/rework an existing page and call it streetteam for every country. So those would be the "i want to online promote/put out flyer" pages, that would maybe somehow get an "approved" thing of some sort (if it's just the band putting out a list like "we are in connection with these") and let the rest of the pages just be what they are, whatever this might be. So peiple have the choice :)

Please do!

Everything you write makes perfect sense, I agree on everything!

I really like the idea of having all the ones rooted to this forum here linked or referenced to each other in some fashion! A visual similarity or stamp sounds like the perfect idea..

As far as the U.S. Team goes... I have created a fresh one considering the old one seemed pretty dead and I couldn't get in contact with the owner of that page. If something changes I'll be more than happy to get rid of my page to avoid confusion, but in my opinion these pages need to be highly active and can be like having an extra job and like said above it can be like actual work!

Changed it also for the Finnish group and will talk to Jeppe about the Crashdiet Army, cause it says nothing othere wise he can keep it as a support page for international use and we make a new page, let's see! :)

PS.:would you rather wanna have a group are a page?
I guess ths Crashdiet Army is more like a general thing for everyone... And Finland has just that group...so maybe it's better to make a page?
What would you prefer?

As far as Italy, i think that we can try to put up a real streetteam, i'm quite sure that the other 2 girls agree with me.

For what concern the previous Italian page, I don't think it's worth to ask for a cooperation with them because IMO the admin is not interest in doing any kind of promotion, think she don't even have any interest in the band anymore (but that's just my opinion). i stopped doing anything on that page because rally it felt like it was a waste of time, no cooperation and no interaction.

That's why we put up the other page that is still running and growing, so it would be nice to have the possibility of carry on the official/authorized/approved thing.

So as I just created the new USA street team page I was going to use facebook paid ad service to help get the name of the street team out and try to get some more support when I thought rather then giving money to facebook I could instead be more creative and entice some of the supporters to promote the page by offering rewards..

It is similar to the whole point system just created here for the forum, but a little more street team promotion orientated. To explain this quickly I plan on offering to personally buy something off of the Crashdiet webshop to any street team member of the page for gaining the most points over a period of time and possibly smaller prizes to smaller point earners. To earn points you can share and promote the street team page throughout the internet, print out flyers and plaster Crashdiet material all across the city that you live in, and various other promotional type things to be worked out!

Has anyone else experimented or done anything like this to help get Street Team activity going?! If so how did it work.. I know a lot times when people joing a street team they don't really participate in actual promotional activities, so I thought this could be a fun and rewarding way to ensure that Street Teamers actually get help spread the word.. Obviously it would be an optional thing and for people that didn't want to be bothered with doing the flyers and such don't really have to worry about it

I tried stuff like the chance to win something before if you share something. Like, one share is your name once in the pot etc, the more shares you have the higher your chances.
it didn't really work tho.
I blame it on the streetteam being to small back then, and on me being super socially awkward, I guess I just didn't find the right words...
keep us updated how it works for you please!

good luck!

Right!! I am NOT dragging anyone off FB to start a street team/whatever you wanna call it (forget the titles for now) We have a lot of pages out there that are connecting with fans in their country (something we shoud encourage). I would like to embrace those pages and groups. How stoked would you be if you had set a page for your favorite band and was promoting them, either if it's sharing up to date pictures, clips, new album news and talking about the band. It is still reaching out to local fans and PROMOTING CrashDiet in that country and making it personal to THEM (I think we should not dismiss them or to look down upon them)- and what if your favorite band actually NOTICED what you were doing and gave you the OPPORTUNITY (NOT BEING FORCED) to help you to that further or give you further support. (Like getting more admins to the pages to help keep it up to date - if needed) WE HAVE LOST PAGES DUE TO PEOPLE NOT HAVING THE TIME ANYMORE ( A trick we have missed). If they have got the energy and the means to help out, why not.

I really HATE the Snobbery on here at times.

The older/more seasoned pages/groups should take these new one under their wing a give a little guidance and not shut them out.

All that I'm trying to do is to CONNECT with these admins/owners and see what's what! If they are struggling with time but want to help out then i will do ALL I CAN to give them the support that they need.
If they don't want to do it anymore then let's give someone the chance to take it over (LIKE I DID) To be fair I have worked my ass ever since I had that opportunity and my page/streetteam is no less or better than any other out there (It's not what's it about) It about spreading and connecting with the fans in the UK. CrashDiet UK is a "Appriecation" page by sharing videos of them in the UK, pictures of UK fans with the band whilst over here etc (Making it personal to them) Cos pages that just runs when there is an album/tour to promote and has sat doormat for a while has a real hard time regaining the members interest (speaking from experiance) Why not have the best of both worlds!!

I think she got whatever i said completely wrong.
How about this, I just quit interacting with people completely for the sake of human kinds's peace of mind, because obviously I mess up all the fucking time...

quoting myself and highlightinbg the important bits....

me wrote: as for calling all pages streetteams, there are alot of fan pages there right now, and mayn of them are what I would call "Crashdiet appreciation pages" like, I'd compare those pages to the streetteams like I'd compare the crashdiet topics on here that go about music and pictures etc in comparison to this section of the forum. get me?
I think it would be bad to try to get them under a streetteam banner too forcefully AS IN NOT BEING TOO PUSHY, NOT AS IN FORCING THEM FFS!, because with the actual work (and to everyone, this CAN be actual WORK) they maybe arent there with the heart.
I think these page are immensly important, because it a) shows alot how popular the band is, and b) fans need a place to just rant how awesome everything is :P

I think I'd just leave those pages as they are.
Ofc the people setting would be the first to ask if they want to organize a real streetteam.
Also online promoting only is cool to ofc, but I think there is a difference between just sharing awesomeness and actual online promo if you get me...

Maybe this is a bit arrogant jealousy from my side, but I just worked really hard at times to make the geraman streetteam different to those pages, and I would find it sad if the term "streetteam" got watered down and think one should be care ful here.

my two cents :)

EDIT so in short: I think what Id do is aks aroun on those pages who wants to do an actual streetteam and set one up/rework an existing page and call it streetteam for every country..So those would be the "i want to online promote/put out flyer" pages, that would maybe somehow get an "approved" thing of some sort (if it's just the band putting out a list like "we are in connection with these") and let the rest of the pages just be what they are, whatever this might be.
