Yes you definitely have a point there :)

Well as long as someone helps this old man to keep track of all the various FB pages we'll be alright I think! And Bex is already doing that for me :)

My understanding of this and I maybe wrong in doing so, was to get all FB pages/group aligned and unified. Also to get them over here to check in - as the forum would be the official line of any action etc. (The HUB)

What if they don't want to be part of it and do their own thing (what do we do then)? Is the answer, to have one person over seeing these FB pages and making sure they are up to date with what's happening over here and are following actions?

I'm still waiting on Chris Young to get back to me. He did say he was going to start a new thread for the Brazil team, but I have get to see it? What do we do with Official Pages that don't want to play ball anymore???

What you're doing is 100% correct, this is exactly what I asked for, and more! :)

Would be a little strange if they weren't up for proper communication with us, I think. If at least one person from every FB page can check in here would be awesome. Then FB can be a great tool for that person (probably the "leader") to reach out to the rest from his / her country maybe :P

I'm talking to him as well and he'll come :)

I think we maybe should skip that "Official" tag completely. The official sites are anything connected to crashdiet.org and our own facebook. The rest are street teams - as important as our pages but it should be called something else I think, let's think about this for a little while :P.

We need to make this whole thing as less complicated as we possibly can - I love your ideas so let's keep throwing out ideas on how we best can form this whole street team concept :)

That's what I'm aiming for. Down to them tho

Glad to hear it. Sometimes I feel some people are like "Who is she, to ask this etc. I want a band member to contact me. lol

There are so many different titled pages that we need to call them something just to visually see that they are a part of this. Whatever that title is, I'll leave it upto you :) I was going to ask about the official thing as there are pages that state official but are they really??? The sooner we decide what to call them the better :) Do you want them as street teams for now?

I still haven't had a reply from Mexico, Croatia, Peru........ Chile, Finland, working with, just waiting.

Cool, and yes, I agree, but anyways :)

Hahaha! Tell them that London sent you but he is incapable of using Facebook properly.

I totally agree, I'll sleep on it, let me know if you come up with something as well. I want it to be like a approved Street team or something but the word "Official" just isn't right anymore. "Approved" sounds like I'm a dictator who decides who is allowed to help my band and who's not ha ha!

Bxstar wrote: The sooner we decide what to call them the better.

Definitely.

Bxstar wrote: Do you want them as street teams for now?

I think it would make sense to ask all groups that are alive to call themselves street teams yeah, but only if they are up for that kind of activities, but I guess they are. Online promoting is also a sort of street team activity I think, everything doesn't have to be done on the streets

Wow! peter and bex are doing a great job with the facebook pages, really!
Expecially Bex!
I can speack for our Italian Fanpage, when i founded the page i did it because:
1) the other italian fanpage sucks
2) i want to find other people who likes Crashdiet in Italy and..
3) Spread Crashdiet music.

Facebook have a simple language and everybody can share everything so the 'Crashdiet message' can be spread to many people very quickly!
Me and the other two admin (Vale and Arianna) have a lot of fun because we upload everyday photos, create rubrics, share news....and a lot of people likes what we do and share it!
In facebook pages we can speak in italian with fans, and in Italy is very important because a lot of italians can't understand english very well (for example.....me! xDD )
When Bex conctats us for 'officialized' our page in only 2 or 3 days we had 30 new 'likes' on our page!
So..Facebook pages works!

Quick update. CrashDiet Peru is now under me for hopefully a very very short time. Wendy the girl that was/is running it has not got time to lavish on it as I believe she has got alot studies on. She been doing an excellent job. Hopefully her friend Raxel will take it on? More on that if and when i hear back from him. If not I shall put a call out for someone to run it.

CrashDiet Brazil: right I will look at sorting the 2 pages and the group into 1 tomorrow. Chris has been in touch thankfully and Paula Quissick (sorry if i've spelt your last name wrong) would like to be part of it, so hopefully we will have one kickass Brazil page agreed by end of play Monday night!

As for the other Italian page that sucks. Could get the group members onto the main page and get the other deleted in let's say by next Monday? Just put on there that you're closing it out a share a link to the better page :)

Right off to bed. I'll shall not on here properly until 5pm UK time tomorrow. :)

How about not calling Them anything besides street teams? I see the "problem" with 'official' but isnt it better they're named official (ón facebook at least), so People wont start a new because the 'other one' isnt 'official'? I hope you guys get me, and sorry for spelling mistakes (written via iPad) :)

Edit: Wouldnt it be, i dont know, stupid (not meant in a harsh way), if all pages got together? i know some people arent good at english, so ''local'' pages would be fine i think - but who am i to judge :)

I agree with you, we can call them just Street Teams, and they can be a kinda reference for all the other pages...

just an idea but how to just make it obvious visually? I don't know if you've seen the streetteam logo thing I made with the spray can over the xXx logo, maybe not the exact thing (I don't know how well people like it?) but maybe something like that? So that only the approved streetteams can use it? like a "approved" stamp, but less.. dictatorship like?

as for calling all pages streetteams, there are alot of fan pages there right now, and mayn of them are what I would call "Crashdiet appreciation pages" like, I'd compare those pages to the streetteams like I'd compare the crashdiet topics on here that go about music and pictures etc in comparison to this section of the forum. get me?
I think it would be bad to try to get them under a streetteam banner too forcefully, because with the actual work (and to everyone, this CAN be actual WORK) they maybe arent there with the heart.
I think these page are immensly important, because it a) shows alot how popular the band is, and b) fans need a place to just rant how awesome everything is :P

I think I'd just leave those pages as they are.
Ofc the people setting would be the first to ask if they want to organize a real streetteam.
Also online promoting only is cool to ofc, but I think there is a difference between just sharing awesomeness and actual online promo if you get me...

Maybe this is a bit arrogant jealousy from my side, but I just worked really hard at times to make the geraman streetteam different to those pages, and I would find it sad if the term "streetteam" got watered down and think one should be care ful here.

my two cents :)

EDIT so in short: I think what Id do is aks aroun on those pages who wants to do an actual streetteam and set one up/rework an existing page and call it streetteam for every country. So those would be the "i want to online promote/put out flyer" pages, that would maybe somehow get an "approved" thing of some sort (if it's just the band putting out a list like "we are in connection with these") and let the rest of the pages just be what they are, whatever this might be. So peiple have the choice :)
