Dave Lepard was many things to many people but most importantly he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a boyfriend, a band mate and a friend. On the 3rd anniversary of his passing I ask everyone to keep his mother Lisbeth and the rest of his family and friends in their thoughts and prayers. Dave was one of the most unique and talented musicians to come along in many years and his legacy of revitalizing glam/sleaze music has not only grown in Sweden but the rest of the world. He was a visionary who took a genre of music that had long pasted and added his own touch and created something that has re-energized the music scene and inspired all types of bands the last 3 years. His memory lives on in our hearts and minds and he will never be forgotten. The RIS Festival on January 24th was put together by his family to celebrate his life and bring all his friends and fans and some of the top Swedish bands together for one night to honor him and have a party that he would be proud of!! To all the people that will be going this year raise your fist and rock hard and have a cold one and enjoy-SKAL!!!!! This is the first year I will not be in attendance so I ask all my friends who will be there to have an extra cold one for me-TACK SA MYCKET!!!!
REST IN PEACE DAVID ROBERTO LEPARD HELLMAN AND HAPPY 3RD ANNIVERSARY IN HEAVEN.
I agree with Joe too..
I know, I know. its a horrible, sad thing that stunned us all when it happend. We wish he was here with us and some of us cant let go. But i learned something..
My friend, passes away 2 months ago by getting hit by a car while crossing a main road. It was horrible, I couldnt believe what I heard. I saw him friday in school, and the next day in a acoma dead. its amazing what can happen in a split second...
my point is we will always remember but never forget. Just hold onto the good of the people you loved that passed away. There always in our hearts, and you have to remember you need to move on no matter how hard, it is, you just cant live you whole life in grief.
I totally agree, Joe. ♥
It is very a sad thing that he's gone.
The man was a musical genius.
He's created a wicked new wave of music,
the best I've heard in a really long time!
Not to mention he was truly an amazing songwriter,
writing such strong and powerful lyrics...
Every single song on Rest In Sleaze, plus more!
His legacy should always live on.
The lyrics in Back On Trakk there is a story to be told you know,
why don't ya share it with the world?
I believe that HE is the story to be told.
We should share his music with the world.
