I think this topic is over for me now since no one will prove me wrong anyway and I'm not gonna write books here, trying to convince about what's right or what's wrong :). History showed the truth, no one can deny and question that, thank you.

I really see no reason why Metallica was supposed to be 'ahead of their time' or maybe 'miles ahead with their music', while, as I stated before, they were just one mediocre band out of the whole bunch of heavy metal bands doing exactly the same thing. They were lucky enough to be picked by the record company and that's pretty much about it. It's a shame they took up the place for someone more talented, though.

While everyone was trying to do what Metallica did on Kill 'Em All, they were already somewhere else, evolving and creating a masterpiece called Ride The Lightning. And it wasn't another thrash record with speed metal songs from start to finish, their songwriting was much more complex then and exposed their talent and amazing skills. Many of the biggest names in music cite that album as something extraordinary and big step for the band, showing they were, like I said before - miles ahead already. But I see this discussion is like putting my head against the wall so I won't waste my time trying to prove something what's obvious for majority of people on the planet, including very significant and influential ones like Tony Iommi or Rob Halford :).
