Oh great, that was my favorite song at twelve and the song still seems to fit my life. Little weird maybe... Do lyrics "grow with you" as well or do you cherish them because of the memories in the past?

no to both things actually. Lyrics that I could identify with the past usually stay there. Ofc they remind me of the times then, but the connection is gone, and i usually don't cherish them either because past is past and in my case usually means it was a shit time.
OFC there are lyrics that never lose their meaning to you, because they are timeless beautiful or timeless true. A good exemple for that is this::

Even though i'm not a fan of CrashDïet after the Dave era i must admit Overnight is a darn good song. It's so cold. And i really prefer TUR over GW.
