Haha, seems like Crashdiet is a rubberband.
People tend to fall away for a bit, but when the rubber (time) get stretched enough.
It just pulls you back in!

RubberBAND hihi :).

But I agree. It's been the same for me even lately, more or less, hehe.

Back now and stronger than ever though!

We need a revival.
Time's a circle and music comes in cycles... I hope. Kinda like fashion. :D

Reckless Love with Santa Cruz sold out a venue here in London (Scala, approx. 1,100 capacity).
For me really it was a Santa Cruz gig (fml, these guys know how to play their shit). RL are too much of a cheese.

But YOU. YOU need to come BACK. And hit the world again with rock n' roll!

Well I personally have been away from the music and 'scene' myself but it seems to me that the whole movement has sort of died out. I don't know if young people nowadays are still as hungry for rock n roll as we were 10 years ago. Bare in mind that there has been a huge amount of copycat bands as well over the years, to a point were it was starting to get silly. Almost similar to the decline of the first wave in the early 90's.

We only need to answer this question:
What is rock 'n' roll supposed to do (for people)?

I've recently seen someone commenting on Santa Cruz video on YouTube that RnR is supposed to be FUN and PARTY. Basically a great musical escape from reality. Now, I don't agree nor disagree with the statement. Rock can def talk about political issues, oppression, anarchy, personal feelings... and the fun and party. So maybe RnR allows us a new perspective on life? Away from daily responsibilities. We don't have large amounts of songs that go on about paying bills, taxes, raising gas prices and rents, right? (all I can think of is songs of people trying to make a living in tough times; easily what some can relate to, whether you are or currently aren't in such position yourself)

And to me, personally, it gives energy to go on in life. It can motivate me, it works for me like a pre-party drink. It's a good push into joy. It beats sad moments. I think RnR should show the world that we can all fight for ourselves, that we can stand up and shout: we are here, mofos, we're not going anywhere, we can make this world ours, make it amazing, make it fun and joy! NO MORE MISERY. RnR should be the power, the strength, the friendly force.

I'm a bloody poet.

I was trying to be specific about the 'sleaze scene'. There will always be rock n roll, no doubt :)

I agree with fizzy.

I like to go through youtube and listen to new bands.

Ultimately, I see lots of good bands, but they can't "reach me" in a way that my favorite music do.
Too many people follow the "I wanna the 80's back, bring back glam, blablabla" things and focus themselves on a specific genre, following a specific style.
Nowadays, there are lots of motley/skid/poison/tailz/etc. clones. Maybe they can indeed play seriously and well, but tend to emulate their idols, without trying to bring new ideas to the whole scene.

But music is music. You should not force it and let it flow. You should be yourself, not a damn copycat.
