Exactly.
Honestly I'm a little sad when I listen to (see) they play old songs now.
Cuz I remember Dave's singing...
On the other hand, I wanna listen to old songs though...this is complex feeling.
And when CRASHDIET will come to Japan, maybe Japanese fans wanna listen to old songs, I think.

However I'm excited when I listen to new songs they play
Actually new songs more fit new CRASHDIET :)

Your so right hitomi.
First i didn't cared about 'em playing old songs..
But acctuly i don't think that some of the old songs fits olliver voice that much. For example: It's a miracle.

I agree that alot of the old songs dont fit ollivers voice ..
I hated hearing It's A Miracle live by olliver, cause i always think of dave when i hear it.
And yeah, this is the new Crash, they do sound alot like the old crash, but this new crash is more powerful and wicked :)

Olli is much more of a live singer than dave imo.
I missed Die another day a lot, otherwise the set list was great.

Allow me to laugh. Sorry, but Olliver sucks live.

Dave was more of a song writer than a singer really. I never had the pleasure of hearing Dave live in person, but Im never comfy with a front singer playing guitar AND singing on stage. For me, he will always be an amazing song writer more than a performer.

Olliver is amazing. His voice handles the old stuff well enough, they're not that hard to sing anyway. "It's a miracle" sounds a bit light, but it's more due to one guitar on stage than anything else. Olliver does a fucking amazing job and you should all stand behind him and support him. You won't get a better frontman in rock n roll still under the age of 30. Trust me.

On videos only. But I've seen Olliver, and he can run and dance (but he dances really ugly with his legkicks), but he can't sing live really. Dave couldn't either, but he sang with more balls. Olliver can't sing the old songs, his voice doesnt fit, and it's not his songs.

I've seen Dave live (klubben dec-05) and he had a fucking amazing attitude. I can't describe it. He was so damn cool when he walked out on the stage before the concert just to film the audience. And he was a hell of a songwriter. But when i saw him, and on the movies i've seen he sang a little to much out of tune.
And I think Olli is way much better. The whole band was "tighter" this gig and so on..
I won't continue discuss who's the best live singer anymore. Now i have state my opinion..

Me, too.
Cuz Dave is the founder of the band and the legend forever for us, and Olli is an awesome lead singer of new Crashdiet now.
We cannot compare them.

However, about old songs,
I don't think Olli fits old songs.

Cuz Riot Everyone, It's a miracle, Breakin the chainz.....all old Crash songs were written by Dave's feeling, opinion, intuition, imagination, etc....I think.
Especially lyrics.

Can other singer express those than Dave well?

Actually, I wrote lots of songs and released those before.
There are lots of awesome singers in the world.
But I don't think other singer can express my song well more than me.
( Even if someone can SING my songs well more than me, someone can NOT EXPRESS my song well more than me. )

But I think lots of fans wanna listen to new Crashdiet play new songs and some of old songs in future.
So....there will be complex feelings alwayz for some ppl and fans.
It's fate of new Crashdiet I think.
