First snow (in this year) fell today in Kyoto.
But snow melted immediately.
Japan's winter is warm lately.

BTW, December is the most busy month for Japanese.
Everyone must finish their work by the end of the year.

Especially in Kyoto, there are lots of traditional events.
And most houses decorate new year decoration that is made by straw, bamboo, pine, rice.
Small decoration is popular now, but basically the decoration is called "Kadomatsu" and is a little big size decoration.

Year God goes down on "Kadomatsu".
In other words it is like a temporary house of God.

Those decoration is not for Buddhism, is for Shinto.
Yes, In Japan every religions coexist. (Mainly Buddhism and Shinto)

Most Japanese eat "Toshikoshi-soba" Dec 31(Omisoka) and go to big shrine for "Hatsu-moude".

I ate "Toshikoshi-soba" with my family and am watching martial art TV program "K-1 PREMIUM 2006 Dynamite" now :)
(Japan is the martial art heaven !!)
Some of my friends went to see this event to Osaka dome today.

Though Zen concept affected many Japanese things,
Japan consisted by many elements really because Japan is an island.

BTW I'm sorry I am not on MSN at all :(
When I am in Kyoto, I must do internet by analog telephone line, so I am not able to be on MSN....

Cool your friends went there. I prefer PRIDE over K-1 though.

Unfortunately, because PRIDE is not televised by one reason today,
(Big event of PRIDE was held as well as K-1 dinamite today in Saitama Super Arena)
So some PRIDE fighters appear at K-1 now.

I saw K-1 to see the fight of Syuichiro Katsumura today, because one of my friends supports him in many cases.
He fought with ex-Olympic silver medalist of Wrestling.
But he lost by swoon 1RTKO.
It was hard I watched the person whom I knew lost by swoon 1RTKO :(

BTW I think Leo is like Japanese sometimes, hehe
You know even HUSTLE.
